Spicy Drinks

Spicy drinks may not be as popular as coffee or tea. However, they are gaining in popularity as more and more people are getting health conscious because spices like ginger are known to be beneficial for almost everyone, in terms of medical benefits.

Spices were also added into wine to avoid it from becoming bad. Mead is an alcoholic drink laced with honey and spices. The term "honeymoon" came from the tradition of the bride's father giving a month's supply of mead to the happy couple. Gluvine is spicy red wine from German and schnapps, a strong alcoholic drink, often contains ginger too.

The trend of upmarket coffee shop like Starbucks and DOME also gave birth to a few imaginative drinks, often including spices in their creations.

Ready made drinks mix like "3 in 1" coffees and teas in convenient packets are also flooding the market at the moment. Now, a tea bag is not merely a bag with tea powder in it but may also contain many kinds of fruits and spices flavor. So, consumers are spoiled for choice.

To save money and also to get a more original taste, we can also make some of the drinks in our kitchen.

Below are two non-alcoholic spicy drinks recipes. Have fun trying them out.
