Pickles and Spices Updates
November 21, 2009
Dear Subscriber,

my cooking class is now going from strength to strength. As words of mouth spread, I can hardly keep up with the pace. Which is nice. All my students had a good time, they get along very well in each session.

After the hard work, it is sooo worthwhile to savor the meal in such a nice environment at Tropical Spice Garden.

After the meals, most of my students purchase the cookbook that I promote. It is Penang Passion. A must have if you have an affinity to Penang food and Penang in general.

Check out Penang Passion book here. You can order online too.

Yours truly is now also being invited by several organization, including Tourism Malaysia to do traditional food demonstration. I managed to get someone to capture it for me on video.

Here it is.

I also demonstrated a few things about coconut at Little Penang Street Market.

Being active in a heritage NGO gave me several opportunities to travel too. I went to Melaka, with a group of future tourist guides and had some a wonderful time as well. Three hours of walking tour was definitely not enough.

I would like to go there again. Malacca Heritage City.

Then finally, as a treat, a real Nyonya is coming to my class as a guest teacher. If you love Nyonya food, you must not miss out my class.

The date will be on 17th December 09, so please register early as places are limited.

Hope to see you there!

I am now on Facebook and Twitter too. More frequent updates are available there.

Happy Thanksgiving and Eidul Adha!

Yours truly,
Nazlina The Cook
